    • Bine, Carmen! Toate timpurile corecte, e nevoie doar de cateva ajustari:

      – half an hour = o jumatate de ora (deci fara “an” inainte, cu “an” intre ele, nu cu “of”)
      – answer the phone => fara “on” cum avem noi. Aici eventual l-ai putea avea pe “on” intr-o chestie de genul “there was no answer on the phone”.

“Hold the line, I’m looking for something!” Sau ” Hold the line, to look for something!”
Iar asta e doar intr-un singur fel: “He told me to hold the line to look for something” (sau cu “search”)
Daca zicem “He told me I held…” inseamna “Mi-a spus CA EU AM ASTEPTAT…”

    • Bravo, Alina:) Apreciez timpurile!
Hai sa vedem ce mai ajustam:
      2. – zisesem “de o jumatate de ora”, deci ar fi “for half an hour”
      3. ….told me TO HOLD (adica sa astept). Daca spun “she told me I held …”, ar insemna “mi-a spus CA AM ASTEPTAT la telefon”.
Si de regula este “hold the line”. Am mai putea spune “Hold on! I need to check something!” = “Asteapta! Trebuie sa verific ceva!”
      5. ANSWER 🙂 Plus ca e “answer the phone”, fara prepozitie.
      6. “IN the house” = IN casa, altfel ar fi “la casa”

      In rest e bine.

      Avem cateva problemute:

      1. Daca zicem “make ME a phone call”, s-ar putea sa se inteleaga ceva de genul “fa-ma un telefon” 🙂
Fie punem simplu “call me”, fie “give me a (phone) call”
      2. fara “a” in fata lui “half”
      3. …fara “him”, doar “to search” sau “to look for”
      4. complainT
      5….”while I am away” sau “I’m gone”
      7. “to have”, fara “I” acolo (sa am)

      “explanation” 🙂
